Trellis is a character holiday cottage just off the square of thatched cottages in Inner Hope Cove and surrounded by National Trust land. It is just 100 yards from one of Hope Cove's beaches and the coastal path and a short walk to Outer Hope Cove with PO/shop, pub and cafe.

The Area

Hope Cove, an old fishing village, is 2 miles off the A381 Kingsbridge to Salcombe road. Trellis cottage is situated just off the square of thatched cottages in Inner Hope Cove. It nestles below Bolt Tail in one of the most picturesque parts of the South Hams and is surrounded by unspoilt National Trust land.

The safe sandy beaches of Hope Cove and the coast path are only 100 yards away. The Sun Bay Hotel which serves cream teas, lunches and dinner overlooks the nearest beach. It is only a short walk to Outer Hope Cove with it's Post Office and general store, pub, cafe and other hotels. There are also other fine beaches in the area at Thurlestone, Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea in one direction and Salcombe in the other.

Kingsbridge, the capital of the South Hams is only 6 miles away with more extensive shopping, a leisure centre with pool and boat trips down the Kingsbridge estuary to Salcombe (in season). Salcombe, a famous sailing centre, is only 5 miles by road. Both towns have plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants.

The surrounding area is ideal for walking, offering spectacular views across Bigbury Bay towards Burgh Island in one direction and the National Trust coastline around Bolt Tail, Soar Mill and Bolt Head in the other.

Accommodation

Downstairs, Trellis Cottage is well equipped with a cozy sitting room with open fireplace, TV, video, dining room with small stereo system and galley kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is a stable door to the front.

Upstairs are a pretty main double bedroom (4ft 6in bed) and a second bedroom with twin beds (3ft beds). The bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC, washbasin and heated towel rail. All beds have duvets and pillows. Bed linen is not included but linen hire can be arranged.

The cottage has storage heating with additional electric heaters and the open fire. A travel cot, high chair and folding bed are also available.

The cottage has outside parking, a private garden with garden furniture and BBQ. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. A dog charge will apply. Changeover day: Saturday.
